Back at the Ball park
Big White Sox weekend for me these past two days. After my last game being 674 days ago. I finally got to see the Sox again. Grant it Saturday was a soggy Sox day.Where yous know the rain bullied us all over the place pushing the 1:10 start to 2:30 then up to 2:15 only for them to play 3 innings and get rained out to a double header. My friend convinced me to go again since I had nothing else going on today so went and they actually played. Double header first time I’ve ever been to a double header and man o man 6 hours and 10 minutes of baseball even Sox baseball is a lot and a long time. But I enjoyed it, going back to the Cell Hitting the G Spot.
I said I would start blogging about the Sox more and what better way is to recap my experience at RE-opening day weekend. My take aways from the Sox coming back to life are:
Grilled onions smell is still amazing. Never gets old.
such a heavenly smell why has that not been made into a candle yet.
Mini helmet sundae 7 bucks not bad lady hooked me up no pics wanted to eat it. But she loaded that bad boy with ice cream then toppings are free I said give me the works and she did. Shout out the cute ice cream conscious stand lady.
Funnel cake up a dollar. I will die on the hill, that the funnel cake is excellent and one of the best things you could get at a Sox game besides everything else. Best bang for your buck[s]. Previous years 5 dollars but up a dollar this year. Will get one next time but a whole plate of delicious dessert hate that’s it’s not 5 bucks any more but still gotta be worth it.
Speaking of money. Sox park card only. And made me realize one very sad thing that aisle venders maybe gone for ever now. No more singing bearded guy singing beer beer beer to the tune of chimney chimney form Mary poppins, no Cracker Jack and red rope guy, no vodka lemonade back pack lady no more dream job guy, the banging that steam hotdog pin guy that should of been me. Maybe because of covid they died out. They do the mobile order now and bring you the food but like I said that’s app and card. aisle venders worked with that hugh buckle of cash in their hand handing you your nuts. And if it’s a Cashless establishment there gone.
So RIP possible for isle venders another victim lost to Coronavirus
I’ll admit I can be scared at times to follow my dreams and take risks. So I wore a mask today and yesterday when I went to the ball game. And you know what they say if you feel comfortable take it off or not needed well I’m not I guess. Sue me I’m afraid of things that are silent killers: Carbon monoxide, high blood pressure, undiagnosed diabetes, farts, assassins, virus.
Call me a pussy if you want but I guess you are what you eat… ladies.
Witnessed history. Saw the first pitcher thrown out for having a foreign stick substance in the new era of outlawing it. Mariners Pitcher Hector Santiago got checked by the umps they claim and full on well said that he had some type of stick substance on his glove. Hector Santiago claims it was only rosen but thats allegedly wasn't the case he the first pitcher to be thrown out in this crack down history.
Why Sox fans booed [2:17 time stamp ]looking back a couple hours later makes no sense but I’m an angry irrational person so makes sense on why I booed. I love a good boo or booing. As much as I boo you think I’m a Philadelphia boo bird fan. The way I boo, those guys would love me but I hate Philly sports. Hell makes their love for me love stronger cuz I bet you they even hate there “beloved” Philly teams.
