NEW hall of famers

Make some room in Canton Ohio, The Hall of fame class is set and we are adding some more Chicago Bears in there. 

I believe the Bears are now at 35 [once the official induction ceremony happens in August] 

We are still at the most people from a franchise to be in the Hall of fame

The Newest Bears going in to the Hall of Bears, I mean Fame are

 Jim[bo] Covert 74 and Ed Sprinkle[7] 

Jimbo Covert was drafted in 1983 played 111 games till 1991. So he helped block for Walter Payton and is an 1985 Super Bowl winner. Its great a linemen who spent his whole time in the trenches is getting recognized for all he has done. With out Jim this play might not be possible. 

Now onto Ed Sprinkle, Yes you read that right sprinkle as in those things you put on your ice cream. But I would not want to make fun if Ed's name because his last name sounds childish but his nick names makes up for it "The Claw" or "The Meanest Man in Pro Football."

He played 12 years[1944-55]  with the Bears, part of the Monster of the Midway era. He was a tuff as nails DE. He supposedly played TE too. But a flat top guy you expect tuff. I will be honest I have never heard of Ed Sprinkle and has passed already, it would have meant alot for him to be alive and see his own induction but it is still great taht he is being acknowledge for all he has done for the game. 

  

Congrats to the new Bears hall of famers many more guys to be inducted into the future but lets celebrate these guys and all the others who have meant alot to the game and the NFL story can not be told with out them.
