Underrated school supplies: protractor
With Labor Day being a few weeks ago, NFL sunday week 2 just ending. It’s safe to and official call it but summer is over. Im sorry it had to be said. Sure we'll probably get a last minute heat wave for no reason, that makes it feel like summer, but besides that it’s done. Public schools just had their first official full week and your Catholic grammar schools have been well under way.
So I want to talk about one of the most underrated school supplies of all time, the protractor. I loved my protractor back in my old grammar school days. If I recall right it was around 5th or 6th grade when I got one, needed it for math. The Protractor was a purple helix ultra flex protractor.
thing was awesome had the flex ability that other plastic protectors lack. So you bend this thing fold it and not have it snap like your peers shitty plastic ones did.
Can throw this thing in you pencil case so when ever you need a straight edge boom you had one. Brass knuckles, cover your eyes and act like cyclops from X-men. Plus when you put a ruler on a pencil and spin it the teacher could see you since you had this huge stick flinging around. You can put the protractor on it and only had 3 inches on each side spinning around so 3 inches was/ is plenty for fun, despite some people saying other wise. Plus the protractor is a half circle little more top heavy do a few twirls and that thing can stay in motion, do to science.
I miss the days of tracing a half circle when bored, drawing perfect triangles heck I miss having the need for a a protractor in life. When’s the last time you used a protractor? The protractor was/ is a very overlooked learning tool something so simple but so fun. God I gotta find mine or get my hands on a purple helix ultra flex protractor just to use it or know its there.
