Scientist they just study everything. Bunch of nerds, during their much needed research of octopus they discovered something. That Octopus are throwers. Mainly the women. Other animals in the kingdom toss things around to defend their selfs mainly chimpanzees at other animals not at other chimpanzees . But that's not the whole case for Octopuses.
They mostly start tossing if another female wonders into or near their den, and sure some of the woman are defending them selfs from overly horny octobod dudes so reasonable to chuck a shell at them. It might not be the typical arm over the shoulder to the knee throw but more of a squeeze it using there siphons and propel the shell, silt algae or other object with a jet of water. When there chucking things around they are around 33% accurate all time. In one research time ,of 3 hours and 40 mins, one octopus went 5/10 so not great throwers.
But in the research they also realized something else that the females throw stuff in frustration. Hope no male octopus is coming in later after he said so he'll be back a certain time or forgot tho throw out the garbage. Cus is you did she's going to be fuming and don't tell her to calm down or the vase that a your mom got you for your new den is going to be tossed towards your head for a simple mistake. Next thing we are going to learn from the sea is that octopus woman are lighting their dudes stuff on fire in the front lawn. Makes no sense fire underwater but woman figure things how when it comes to ruining a mans life.
