The Kansas Comet Leaves our Orbit

It’s a sad, sad, day in Bears history. Running back history. Gale Sayers at the age of 77 is no longer with us.  The Kansas Comet as fast as he came has left. 


We all know the stories of Gale Sayers 22 touch downs his rookie season. 6 touchdowns in one game against the 49ers in the muck and mire of Wrigley Field. He only played 68 games in a span of 6 years.  from 1965-1972 He managed to not run but soar with the ball for 4965 yards. Speed and cuts never seen before. When Gale Sayers had the ball magic was about to happen. It did not matter if it was handed off to him, thrown to him, punted and or kicked to him something magical was going to happen once it entered his hands. Like I said we all know the story of Gale Sayers and the knee injuries that ended his career adding lore to his nickname. A comet is only seen for a short time if you missed it you missed it.  His short years of play lead to him being the youngest person ever enshrined into the NFL hall of fame at 34  

Gale Sayers proved you don’t just need brawn to run the ball. That you Only need 18 inches of day light. But thats not the most important thing he proved. Gale Sayers proved that Black and White could consist on and off the field, with no problems. Another story we all know is that when the ban of segregating team mates was lifted. Gale Sayers the Star and Brain Piccolo the working player where competing with each other in training camp for the same postion.Eventually Sayers being the Main running back and Piccolo being the Full Back. But the off the field action echos to this day the getting to know each other and becoming friends. When Piccolos battle with cancer  endured Sayers was at his side till the end. Sayers actions of being a philanthropist for inner city kids have also helped people. The world lost a goodman today. 

 Sayers finally gets to run behind Brain Piccolo again. Rest In Peace Gale Sayers.

Jury Duty Day

So back in march I was given a jury duty slip, found out I could defer it. Did cuz had a quiz, game or something that day what ever pushed it away. But now its my honor and privilege to be part of the peers that make up the jury. And let me tell you something I ain't got alot of power and control in my life. a shitty boss, teachers telling me to do my assignments and let tell you something brother, a man woman who ever life is in my hands now. Grandma Jay walking- DEATH. McDonalds hot coffee civil suit - DEATH to Ronald. Packers/ Cubs fan DOUBLE DEATH! They broke the law now I'm the order, I can handle the truth, I don't care if your a cousin named Vinny or a lawyer thats slippin jim going to take alot to convince me. I'm a judge like Simon nothing going to impress me-- and if these ass hole lawyers would get out of my way with their conversation we can get a move on with the day.Just trying to enjoy my California day
