Video game appreciation series continued
Guitar Hero II what a game. How about the whole genre of music playing games. It took karaoke but made it better it made bad voice people,[ something I don't have to worry about. ] and shut them up. It saved them from them self and not being humiliated while with friends.
It but karaoke on its head and made it look silly. It said screw the voice thing yeah everyone can half ass a song but naw it takes years to learn to shred on the guitar. Every body wants to shred on a guitar but can't. Guitar hero said hero time well give you the ability to shred by just strumming how every you want and by hitting these red blue orange buttons. Not me do I never got the satisfaction of strumming away on the guitar. I had to use the controller like a freaking loser. Was my sister's game so she automatically got the guitar. Then after a few songs you'll feel confident in your abilities and say winner picks song, she agrees. So you spam pick Surrender by cheap trick. She gets annoyed that yous played the same song 4 times in a row, but when you got a hot streak you don't change it. Casually you say ok I won't pick surrender again if I win I get the guitar. Winner gets guitar and song, man o man a lot is riding on this song. This song is the equivalent of going in to week 17 division on the line winner in the playoffs other goes home season is done.
Yous shred and wale on the guitar[ and controller] hit star power at the right time, do style points even do it wont effect the out come of the game, play behind the pack, power sliding across the front room, play with your teeth. If mom wasn't home I'd probably light the controller on fire and play, but after the last incident a strict[er] no playing with fire rule is in the house. All for you to win by 5 points. I won I won give me the guitar. After a heroic like game you just played one that would make everyone one in the 27 club proud, you get met with I don't really want to play anymore.
The audacity but satisfaction that you made them rage quit, what a time to be alive in the mid 2000's.
Guitar hero II playlist Had some bangers too. Once again I never appreciated them then but do now since I listen to like half those songs on the regular.
This is a guitar hero II blog not a whole game genre cuz you can talk about how 3 head better songs and was more impressive to win since it was in front of everyone at day camp. Or how rock band was cooler since you can play the drums even do it was not guitar hero. That DS guitar hero was wild with the little hand extension thing and how you where little jealous that. your cousins had that game and you did not. Also arcade's had the game this game was everywhere.
