Saint Patricks Day Massacre
Once again the virus decided to ruin another template of mine again I can't really talk about the playoff possible push since we don't know if or when we will come back in the NHL. But till then a day in history
29 years ago today The Blackhawks kicked the blues A** 6-4 and literally. I hate the blues [ hockey team not the music] and I'm guessing they hate us too. Tensions where high in the 1991 season for both teams. Both teams where fighting for the top seed in the playoffs and and a shot at the Stanley Cup. The Hawks finished with 106 points and the Blues 105. Both teams got upset by the stars and neither team made it close to the cup. But this fight had left rights jabs uppercuts ejections player suspensions the whole bang and compuddle. 278 penalty minutes, which where 24 minor [2 min each], 12 major[ 5 min.] and 17 misconduct penalties [ 10 min].
The Hawks this season are not that close to the final total of points as they where in 1991.
I'll admit, we have been some very spoiled Blackhawk fans these past couple years. The Hawks been good and it was always save to assume we where just gonna steam roll every pre .regular, postseason no problem. But we are fighting for our life's on the ice. The Hawks have 4 games left and being 6 points behind Nashville[ hate those guys] for a wild card spot. A very long shot for summer hockey. They pretty much have to win out and hope that Nashville, Vancouver, Minnesota, and Arizona decided to stop playing once play continues.
[ Side note for new hockey fans. Points in hockey help determine the seedings for the end of the season you get points like this" Teams are awarded two points for each win, one point for each overtime or shootout loss " ]
The next game would of been against the Wild and would of been a huge game if everything stayed normal. and it would of been a huge game for us, and we have been so close the past couple of weeks, and we've kinda been blowing it.
So I don't want to completely rule them out till they are officially ruled dead. Because I'll feel bad jumping ship and when they do good O I'm back on it. I'm committed to the Indian thats all Im going to say Changing the subject. Dang how did we lose to the worse team in the league IE the Red wings Detroit sucks we've been saying it for years, Blood pressure rising officially changing the subject. Lets hope we can get back to the Early 2010 hawks extra time off for the chiefs to think about what they should be doing to fix this team.
