Olympics no more

The world sadly looses another sporting event this year. This time the Olympics. We have lost several sporting events due to the coronavirus so far this year. Those sports can be referenced here.
This take is going to come off as a big jagoff American move but if I'm being completely honest.I'm okay with no Olympics. Everyone has their own interests and the global sports that everyone does has no intrest to me. Few reason why I don't like the olympics they are no on at the time I want to be so never get to see the events, do to work, and  doing other summer activities get in the way. Do not watch those events regularly or  the sports/games that they have do no intrest me. Also where can I even find swimming, or cannoning  when they aren't in the Olympics. Once again being the cocky American even the events that do intrest me like basketball we just cream everyone no problem.

Even Tony Hawk has a take similar to mine...kinda.

I can get into the Winter Olympics and how their kind of a little better because they have that I don't watch these sports but since they have a little more wow factor IE the ski shooting one,Hockey since we are always underdogs, even when we win it all [80's baby]we are still under dogs, and the insane ski jump which I could do on the Wii back in the day. And don't forget about the luge. I probably like the winter games more because I like the cold. But thats not the point, back to summer.

I'll admit it stinks to that the Olympics are not happening this year and are being delayed to 2021. You've got around 11,091 athletes who trained their whole life for these games only to get shut down. The older Athletes got to hate it especially. I'ts not like their bodies are going to give out since they have to wait out another year. They can still train even do its harder. But countries can make some substitutions and have a younger player come in and younger is always harder to beat. Do to them of not being of age and their eligibility can kick in then.  Plus all that money that the Japanese and city of Tokyo has to spend to get ready hopefully it doesn't go to waist. I don't know Japan's finances but I know two things that mine finances are't that great, and that it costs alot of money for what ever city/ country is hosting the games to spend and not make the money back. check this out if you don't believe me.

Silver lining in all of this maybe that we get to see both Winter and Summer Olympics in one year. Maybe better competition since an extra year to prepare, and sports will be back soon.
