Happy birthday Chicago

Happy Birthday Chicago 183 years old today. 

I was trying to take the week off from blogging. It’s hard being a full-time student and trying to get 2-3 blogs out a week especially if they’re not opinion based pieces. Like research ones [IE black history which I still need to finish up.] or if there just long things. Was gonna just overload the blog with post next week. But sometimes some thing big happens that you just have to write about it. 

And that’s Chicago Birthday. I love Chicago it’s my home , my adventures, my time, my money[crook county ] it’s our everything. I sometimes rank my love for Chicago possible over my love for the USA. Don't get me wrong and say I don’t like America but Chicago makes a great argument of why it’s loved more. 

We Love Chicago for : 


- its detailed history  
- your music taste in Chicago, Blues, Jazz, Drill, and juke to name a few 
- you cool nick names windy city, second city, city by the lake 
-Second City Comedy legends all who go to New York but with out us SNL would stink

-Amazing tap water 

- Beautiful land scape/Architecture   

- its alleys and that we don’t leave garbage on the side walk like that trash city New York. 

- it’s segregation. sounds bad but good if you want to explore new neighborhoods and a completely different culture way of life in 77 different neighborhoods. 

- The EL/ CTA people hate it but I enjoy it maybe since I don’t always get to use it since I drive a lot

- The food [power ranking blog coming soon?]
- how after 83 years Chicago said we need a football team. 

-Heck after 63 years they said we need another baseball team
- it being home to the powerful Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton
- it being home to the funny Bill Murray,Hannibal Buress, John and Jim Belushi, Joan Cusack to name a few
-  taking in Oprah,  Jake Johnson, and Vince Vaughn almost all of our sport hero's from Walter Payton, and Michel Jordan who where proud to represent the city and call it home
-  all you teens kissing at the fair we got the Ferris wheel
- the blue collar attitude that its Stormy, husky, brawling, City of the Big Shoulders
- Da Superfans
- how everyone goes crazy over the bean
- Most Churches behind the Vatican
- allowing us to  close our  pants zipper is from chicago
- giving us countless hours of John Hughes movies
- giving us rec sports [softball]
- for being the city that works
-making us loyal to sport teams or the sears tower
- when our team is winning we dress statues up. @bulls get a bulls jersey on that lion already
- When you pull through and close school on a snow day
-the crazy objects you make people pull out to call dibs in their parking spot
- long dragged out construction projects that have been around since I was in kindergarden

If your Three peat of best Big city doesn't give you enough credit this list should.


We Love Chicago for being Chicago

That list is a small list from me alone there are other hundreds upon hundreds more reasons why people love Chicago and why its so great. If the City wasn’t this amazing why do suburb people claim they are from Chicago no one ever claimed there from Schaumburg when there actually from Chicago.
