A few weeks ago I gave Speech on my beloved Bears. It covered all 100 years of history or most of it try and speak on what is important. I attempted 5-7 minutes which is a dis service to the bears history. Very hard to do I think I went 7 minutes 30secs but even going over was not enough time.
I got the idea to do this informative speech, on the day of the Bears v packers season opener game.[Still very upset about that games out come]. But I sat in class wearing a Bears Julius Peppers jersey. The teacher said "always dress accordingly or professional for the speech you are giving." You should wear a bears jersey even do its nice unless you are giving a speech about the bears."
Well a couple weeks later we need to give an informative speech and was struggling to come with a topic. She said do something that I am interested in to help give an easy topic. And of course as SuperFan Max I am interested in the bears. I have read the wikipedia page when bored [ edited it but wikipedia begs to differ that my edits where "right", best team of all time seems pretty accurate to me.] So I decided to give the speech and it was great I come in wearing the Dtika classes bears hat bears 100 5k medal ,my orange Khalil Mack jersey, and I walk up to the podium before i begin reach into my pocket and pull my bear down towel and put it on the the podium before I start. I got jokes, I know the topic well, great so I know it, I' talking in depth stuff. It was a killer speech a fan favorite, I can go on and on. Get a 98/100.
Then a few weeks later the class is told that the speech beginner classes have a competition, on informative speeches. 8 beginner classes one representative from each class get s picked to do it. She reads off the top 6 in our class and ask if people want to participate in the competition. One person isn't there and the other two people day no thanks. I say why not so the class votes on three people speeches to go and compete. The other topics are: The Right to Vote, The importance of sight and blindness in people,[the girl who gave the speech is partially blind too]. And me Chicago bears history speech class votes the votes go 5, 5, 11. I won the vote.
I'm moving on to the big time. I have the most electric intro of all time, which was:
"He can eat three slices of deep dish like its no bodies business
Has attended 4 bears games and a game ball do to his presences at the rams game The longest unofficial touchdown run in Bears history by doing the [5k] last summer has eaten enough polish sausage in life for three
This man is not is not looking to cause any trouble t just to do the super bowl shuffle this is Superfan Max!"
I come in walking in waving my towel get the fans going[ every one looking at me weird.] I walk onto the stage no podium to stand in front of so I hang it off a podium in the background.
I wore mostly the same stuff but had my bears lettermen jacket and threw it on the projector cart and put my hat on top of it too. Then I deliver my speech probably should of practice more would have made it better.
middle of the pack too 4/8 so I have to wait for the other speeches to go.
but a lot of red flags are going up very controversial ending I had jokes, I was informative I branded my self. I gave a very light hearted fun topic speech. The other speeches where not. We had people going up there talking about genetic engineering, the conflict in Israel, why do people lie, sexual assault for grades.
I followed the truth behind fertility drugs and school shooting and gun control was after me. So a tuff crowd.
I was also not aware that we could have a power point too, would of been a huge game changer it i had one.So odds where stacked against me I gave the best speech but they couldn't have the bears win over such serious topics. Breaking news too the person who won did not have correct information allegedly sooooo..........
But anyways remember Bear Down, polish sausage and another ring is on the way.
